Build a Dinner Voting Page That Makes the Call at Six

Verified 2026-10-28

A muse can build a small page where friends vote on where to eat, which day, and what time, and the page settles the plan at your deadline.

What it does

Group dinners often die in the chat. One person suggests a place, someone else cannot do that day, a third replies hours later, and nobody can tell what was decided. A voting page fixes the structure. Give the muse the occasion, the area, and a short list of restaurants, or ask it to suggest options that fit your budget. Each friend votes for a place, a day, and a time, and the page counts votes as they come in. At your deadline, the top option wins and the page shows the plan. If the vote ties, a decide-for-us button picks between the tied options, so the group still gets an answer.

How to use it

  1. Tell the muse the basics: the occasion, how many people, the area, and your budget range.
  2. Name the restaurant options, or ask the muse to list a few that fit.
  3. Ask for the page in plain words: "Build a page where friends vote on the place, day, and time. Set the deadline for 6 p.m. tomorrow, show the winning plan when it passes, and add a button that picks for us if it ties."
  4. Open the page, place a test vote, and check it reads clearly on a phone.
  5. Share the link in the group chat with one line of your own: votes close at six, result is the plan.
  6. When the deadline passes, read the result and book the table yourself.

What you need

  • A muse account
  • A group chat or another way to share the link
  • A short list of places, days, and times worth voting on

What to watch for

  • A page counts only the people who vote. If someone whose answer matters stays quiet, the result can miss them, so nudge the group before the deadline, not after it.
  • The deadline works because the group agreed to it up front. Say so when you share the link, or the result starts a second argument.
  • Check the winning place is open at the winning time and can seat your group: the page counts votes, not kitchen hours.
  • Keep the stakes friendly: this settles dinner, not decisions where one person has a real need, such as an allergy or a tight budget. Name those needs before the vote. The muse builds the page and counts. You make the booking.
