Book the Flight With the Credits You Keep Forgetting
Airlines give you travel credits when plans change, and spending them is such a hassle that most people let them expire. A muse can find your unused credits, pick the flight you want, and apply them at checkout. No digging through old emails for confirmation numbers.
What it does
Travel credits live in your airline account, but the booking page will not just hand them over. You normally have to retrieve each credit, copy its confirmation number, and paste it into the payment step, one by one. A muse does that entire dance for you. It signs into your airline account with your permission, lists the credits that are still valid, books the flight you asked for, and applies the credits to the fare. You confirm the flight and the total before anything is paid.
How to use it
- Tell the muse which airline, where you are flying, and on which dates.
- Give it permission to sign into your airline account so it can see your travel credits.
- Ask it to list the credits: amounts, confirmation numbers, and expiration dates.
- Pick your flight. The muse books it and applies the credits, showing you the remaining balance it needs to charge.
- Review the fare and the itinerary, approve the payment, and save the confirmation it receives.
What you need
- An account with the airline that holds the credits.
- Your login for that account. When the muse reaches the sign-in page, you can type your credentials into its browser yourself and it never stores them.
- A payment method on file in the muse's wallet for any leftover balance.
What to watch for
- Credits expire. Ask the muse to list expiration dates first so you spend the oldest ones.
- Credits often only cover the original passenger, so tell the muse who is flying before it books.
- The muse asks before it pays. Nothing charges your card until you say yes.
- Seat choice, bags, and boarding upgrades are usually extra. Check what the final total includes before you approve.
