Ask Your Muse About Your Recorded Meetings Through Wave

Verified 2026-10-27

If you record meetings, calls, or conversations in the Wave note taker, you can connect it to your muse and ask plain questions about those recordings: what was decided, who said what, and which action items are still open.

What it does

Wave records and transcribes in its own apps. Once connected, your meeting memory becomes part of the conversation. Ask "What did we decide in yesterday's call?" and the muse searches your Wave sessions and answers from the transcript. It can pull the exact passage where something was said, with the speaker named, alongside Wave's summary. It can also gather your open action items across a week of meetings, so promises made in separate calls land in one list. With your permission, the muse can tidy the library too: retitle a session, file sessions into folders, save action items back, and share a session after confirming first. It cannot delete a recording or edit a transcript.

How to use it

  1. Record a meeting in Wave, with the agreement of the people taking part, and let the transcript finish processing.
  2. In your muse, ask it to create a custom connector for Wave and give it the server address the Wave setup page provides.
  3. Open the sign-in link the muse gives you and sign in to your Wave account. No API key is needed, and you can disconnect at any time.
  4. Ask a specific first question, naming the meeting or the date: "Search my Wave meetings from last week. What did we decide about the launch? Separate decisions, action items with owners, and open questions."
  5. Open the session the muse points to and check important details against the transcript before you act.

What you need

  • A muse account
  • A Wave account with at least one finished recording and transcript in it
  • The free Wave plan includes 30 minutes of recording a month. Heavier recording needs a paid plan

What to watch for

  • Always get agreement before recording anyone. The muse can only search what was recorded openly.
  • Ask for the exact quote when a detail matters, such as a deadline or a price. If no deadline was stated, a good answer says so instead of inventing one.
  • Meetings others shared with you are read-only, and search covers your own sessions, so a shared call may need opening directly.
  • It is normal if searching your own meetings by asking sounds strange at first. You approve the connection and can disconnect Wave whenever you like.
