Ask About Your Work Systems Through CData Connect AI

Through a CData Connect AI custom connector, your muse can answer questions from the work systems your business already uses, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, and ServiceNow, through one connection instead of one connector per system.

What it does

Many work systems have no built-in Muse connector. Connect AI sits between them and Muse. You set up each data source once inside Connect AI, and Connect AI exposes all of them through one server address with 12 tools. Muse can then query any connected source from one conversation: customer systems like Salesforce and HubSpot, planning systems like NetSuite, support systems like ServiceNow, money tools like QuickBooks, and warehouses like BigQuery. In practice: deals with no activity in 30 days, the last contacts with a customer before a call, stock and lead time for reorders, or support incidents past their deadline. Each question only works for a source you have connected.

How to use it

1. Create a CData Connect AI account and set up at least one data source. A source is ready when it shows as Authenticated.
2. In Connect AI Settings, open Personal Access Tokens, create a token, and copy it at once. It is shown only once.
3. Build the API key the connector needs from your Connect AI email and that token using the generator on the setup page, and keep the result private.
4. Start a new Muse chat and ask Muse to connect a custom data server. Give it the Connect AI server address and say the key goes in the Authorization header. Enter the key only in the connector dialog Muse shows, never in the chat itself.
5. Start with one checkable question from one source and compare the answer with the system itself.

What you need

• A Muse account that can add custom connectors
• A CData Connect AI account with at least one data source set up and authenticated
• A personal access token from your Connect AI settings

What to watch for

• This route reaches only the sources you set up. If a system is not connected in Connect AI, or its sign-in has expired, Muse cannot answer from it.
• Your token is scoped to your account and can be revoked or replaced at any time in Connect AI settings. Revoking it stops the connector at once. Your key stays in the Muse secure credential store.
• This is a custom connector, and Meta does not review custom connectors. You can disconnect it in Settings at any time. The muse prepares, you decide.
