Add Your Frequent Flier Number to a Partner Booking
A muse can add your frequent flier number to a flight you booked through a partner airline, so the trip earns the miles and status credit you would otherwise lose.
What it does
Partner bookings are where miles go missing. You book on one airline, fly on another, and your loyalty number never lands on the reservation. Fixing it by hand means finding the confirmation code, logging into the operating airline site, and hunting for the right field. A muse does that chain for you. It searches your email for the booking confirmation, opens the reservation on the airline site, adds your frequent flier number, and checks that the number shows on the booking when it is done.
How to use it
- Tell the muse the airline, the flight date, and that the booking was made through a partner.
- Give it your frequent flier number for the program you want credited.
- Let it find the confirmation code in your email and open the booking.
- Ask it to add the number and show you proof, such as a screenshot of the updated reservation.
- Check the screenshot yourself. The number on the booking should match the number you gave it, digit by digit.
What you need
- Email connected so the muse can find the confirmation
- Your frequent flier number
- The flight date and airline name to narrow the search
What to watch for
- Some partner bookings can only be changed on the site of the airline operating the flight, not the one that sold the ticket. If the first site has no field for the number, ask the muse to try the operating airline site before giving up.
- If the site asks for anything beyond the booking lookup and the number, the muse should stop and ask you. Do not hand over extra account changes inside a small fix like this.
- Add the number before you fly. Adding it after the trip turns into a missing miles claim, which is slower and needs boarding proof.
- Keep the confirmation email until the miles post. If they do not post within a couple of weeks, that email is your evidence.
